Drugstore foundation
Stay tuned! I have found a new cheap drugstore foundation that might actually be comparable to the Smashbox foundation I recently fell in love with. I am going to wear it for a few days and I promise a new post will pop up soon :) I will say it lasted through my Pure Barre class yesterday!

Glamglow tingling mud mask

The results....smooth skin with a nice glow. I also noticed this kind of dried my skin out a bit which is great for the existing acne but the rest just made my face tight (which I think is what it's supposed to do) all in all I think it was worth the 19$ for the smaller jar. Do I think it's worth the 69$ they sell the bigger jar for...NO. If you can find it on sale somewhere then it would be worth it I have heard TJ Maxx and Marshall's sometimes carry the big jar for around 20 bucks so keep your eyes open. I had plans to post before and after pics but my phone died so I promise next time I will post them :)
UPDATE!!! Ok y'all I tried this mask again tonight and didn't wash my face before and it didn't burn hardly at all. Must've been the dash wash before! My face looks brighter and feels tighter even the fine lines on my forehead are less deep! It might be worth that 70 bucks after all ;)

Bronzed out eyes!
So I have been wondering not only how to use the Color Tattoo eyeshadow but if it would last and not smear. I recently viewed a YouTube review that said she loved it so I headed over to my local store and grabbed some eyeshadow up! I brought home two eyeshadows (well three if you count that one eyeshadow had two colors) I got the Maybelline 24 hr Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze and Hard Candy baked shadows in Peace. I began using the Urban Decay Potion eye primer then using my ring finger patted the color tattoo all over my lid and slightly into my outer crease on my eye. Then using a smudge brush patted on the darker color ontop of the piter portion of my eye. Blended with a fluffy eyeshadow brush with a light nude color then used the shimmer lighter color out of my hard candy eyeshadow to highlight my brow bone and tear ducts. I put a smudge of bad to the bronze on my outer lower lash line then finished with a black winged liquid liner and topped with mascara. It literally lasted all day long! it lasted through packing a friend and chasing kids around. i put my make up on at 745 and my eyes still looked this good at 830 last night when I removed my makeup. Here was the result:
There ya go! A pretty super easy smoked out bronze eye. On my cheeks I am wearing The Balm blush in Cabana boy and Benefits Watt's up highlighter. My lipstick is Rimmel's lipliner in Eastend Snob and Benefit's lipgloss in Sugarbomb.
Overall I liked the color tattoo stuff! I will def purchase again and will def check out other shades :)
(I am not paid for my reviews. These are my thoughts and opinions based solely on my use.) :)

A few faves and a few flops.
So I recently stopped ProActiv and have been on the prowl for face stuff that worked. Well my friends I've finally found it!!!! Alba Botanica's Acne Dote deep pore wash, toner and oil free mattefying moisturizer are AMAZING! All natural, vegetarian approved, and free of parabens. It has done wonders for my skin. I follow the three steps twice a day and not only has it helped with my blemishes, but it has also evened out my skin tone and I've noticed my skin is brighter. I am 100% in love with this stuff. You can purchase it from Target and Earthfare but I think they sell it at WalMart too.
My next new fav is:
Ok so I've only used this once (today) but it has given me the most beautiful light weight coverage. I am kinda a foundation snob and prefer Lâncome foundation but gave it a try and so far so good. Now the bottle says to apply with fingers, which I did for the first layer, but second layer I poured a bit on the back of my hand then buffed my flat top Sigma kabuki brush into the liquid and buffed onto my face which worked beautifully. I ran errands which involved 90 degrees of Alabama summer sun and humidity and my skin still looks good. I did set with a translucent powder so that could've helped the staying power.
See (photo unfiltered and untouched). So smooth and not caked up. Another fav (which I am wearing in this pic) is Rimmel lipliner in Eastend Snob. It's a pinky nude liner and goes perfect under my Benefit Sugarbomb lip gloss. If you haven't tried Benefits lipgloss you should! Not sticky and they smell and taste sooo good. And get that liner too you won't be disappointed.
Now for my flops. I have two really really disappointing mascaras to review. First, Loreal Double Extend Extensions. A beauty guru I love suggested the primer portion so I thought I would give it a try since Maybelline discontinued my ALL TIME FAVORITE mascara ( how dare you Maybelline). It was a major flop! It did give me length but next to no volume. It made my eyelashes look stick thin and honestly slightly spider leg like. I used it once and only once. Next, I tried Maybelline's Big Eyes Mascara and again SUPER disappointed. I had hoped it would give the length and volume of the Falsies but again I was super disappointed. The brush for your bottom lashes is a huge joke! I have pretty long lashes for the most part and I had the hardest time getting mascara on my bottom lashes. Again used it once and won't use it again. I am currently sampling a Make Up Forever Smoky Extravaganza mascara that I kinda like but don't think it's as good as my XXL pro mascara.
So there you have it! A few of my current favs and a couple of flops. What is your favorite mascara?

Hello beautiful
Hello beautiful people! I have neglected this blog recently and I apologize! I don't have any other reason really. My hubs has been working from home and I hate to move around his stuff to get on the computer so basically being lazy lol. Any way I have been thinking of different ways to spice up my makeup for summer. I get really bored easy with my make up so I like to look for different ways to express myself artistically. My newest obsessions are bright lipsticks. I recently purchased a bright fuchsia color and a red balm tint by Pixie! I am in love with them both! Just make sure you play down your eyes and cheeks. You want the focus on your lips.
Another fun way to change things up is using a brighter eyeliner. Instead of using a basic brown or black try a navy or plum. I especially like a teal or turquoise on my bottom lash line these days. It just feels summery.
What is your fav way to spice up summer makeup?

Beauty Bar
Ok so quick post to rave about a company. As most of you know I went through months of Birchbox and wasn't all that thrilled when the boxes went downhill fast. So I joined Beauty Bar by Allure and have been nothing but pleased. Well sadly I recently had to cancel and the customer service was so awesome I decided to blog about it. I sent them am email asking to cancel and long story short not only did they cancel so easy but they also refunded the 15 bucks I had just paid for the box that had already been shipped but they went ahead and sent the box on them. They were very understanding and very nice. I will def go back one day and wanted to share my experience with you bc they were so awesome! Check them out...Here

Just my luck...
Hello all!!! I know I know I have been awful at the keeping up of this little ole blog. Promise trying to do better life has just been INSANE! So why the title you ask??? Well let me tell ya I am the worlds worst at finding make up I fall in love with right as it is being discontinued...seriously just my luck!! First it was my Maybelline XXXL Pro mascara and now the most amazing bronzer I have ever put on my face!!! I recently scored a container of Laura Geller's Air Whipped Bronzer in Cocoa Beach from Haute Look. It came in today and I decided to give it a whirl on top of my 9 hour long sweated off make up face just to see what it looked like. WOW WEEE let me tell you it totally made my face look fresh and sun kissed in all the right places and looks like I have on a new face of make up! Let me say though a little goes a long way and I can see how if you didn't know how to use it that it could come off looking bad. Anyway if you happen to see some more let me know. I am already thinking of scouring the Internet to find another jar ;o)

UPDATE for Murad
OK so my original thought about Murad was that it was going to work out great! However I am sooo disappointed! While it did even out my skin tone below my forehead I started breaking out worse on my forehead! I gave it a couple weeks to think it must be getting all the gunk outta my pores and it would just take some time. Boy was I wrong! A month in and my forehead is broken out still! I keep breaking out in the same places and I have not had skin this bad probably ever! As much as it pains me I am going to go back to ProActiv just because I cannot have my face looking like this! I have heard people say they love Murad but it just didn't work for me :o(
